Today is a beautiful surprise

I went for my blood work this morning and after I took myself to the Long Branch location of Turning Point, a nice little brunch franchise.

When I got here, it was cloudy and breezy and overcast. I had planned to walk along the boardwalk before heading home.

But when I finished breakfast and reading a bit I found this beautiful scene.

I’m so glad I chose to go to brunch here. It is so beautiful and so peaceful. And, for just a minute, I can go back to being:

Amanda, the Jersey Girl.

and forget that I am also:

Amanda, the cancer patient.
